WATERBURY — Mrs. Madeleine (Tessier) Clermont, age 94, of 430 Peach Orchard Road, passed away on Monday, Aug. 16, 2010, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Albert Clermont. Mrs. Clermont was born on Sept. 28, 1915, in St. Narcisse, Quebec, Canada, a daughter of the late Elisee and Blandine Tessier. She was the retired proprietor and owner of A-M Tax Service and was the former owner of A-M Cleaners. She was a communicant of St. Anne's Church in Waterbury. Mrs. Clermont is survived by two sons, A. Frederick Clermont of Waterbury and Roger J. Clermont and his wife, Joan, of Bluffton, S.C.; two grandchildren, Dennis Clermont and Heather Meyerjack; four great-grandchildren, Chase Meyerjack, Cody Meyerjack, Gunner Clermont and Garrison Clermont; one sister, Jacqueline Simon of Shawinigan, Canada; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five sisters, Clemence Spenard of Montreal, Canada, Yvette Tessier of Montreal, Sister Eliane Tessier, a Catholic nun of Trois-Rivieres, Canada, Gilbert St. Arnaud of Trois-Rivieres and Theresa Bordeleau of St. Narcisse, Canada; and five brothers, Clement Tessier of Trois-Rivieres, Jean-Marie Tessier of Laval, Canada, LeoPaul Tessier of Montreal Nord, Canada, Rosaire Tessier of St. Narcisse and Roland Tessier of Quebec City, Canada. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Church, 67 Southmayd Road, Waterbury. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will be in New Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterbury.
