Naugatuck - Mrs. Madelyn Ann (Zuccarelli) Malone, age 80, of 156 Wedgewood Drive, died Tuedsay October 5,2010 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Anthony F. Malone Sr. Mrs. Malone was born in Naugatuck on May 6,1930 a daughter of the late Patsy and Josephine (Nardello) Zuccarelli. She was a graduate of Naugatuck High School Class of 1949 and was retired from Uniroyal Inc. Chemical Division in Naugatuck where she worked as a Traffic Department Head for 40 years. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Naugatuck and was a member of the St. Vincent Ferrer Church Ladies Guild, a member and past president, for many years, of the Cristoforo Columbo Ladies Auxillary in Naugatuck and a former member of the Naugatuck Emblem Club. She was also an avid golfer and member of the Hop Brook Golf Club. Mrs. Malone is survived by a son, Anthony F. Malone Jr. and his wife Diana of Nuagatuck, a sister, Lucille Mariano of Nauugatuck, two grandchildren, Anthony F. Malone III of Naugatuck and Vanessa Malone of Meriden, three great grandchildren, Genisus, Sammy and Isabella and many nieces and nephews including her godchildren Roberta Burmeister of Oldsmar, Fl. aand Carol Ford of Deerfield, Ma. She was predeceased by three sisters, Angeline and Antoinette Zuccarelli and Josephine Kinnoch and two brothers, Francis "Red" Zuccarelli and John Zuccarelli. The funeral will be held on Friday October 8,2010 at 10:30 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 82 Fairview Ave. Naugatuck to St. Francis of Assisi Church 318 Church St. Naugatuck for a mass at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday October 7,2010 from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Healthcare Of Waterbury Hospice Program 50 Brookside Rd.
