Margaret M. Holliday

Naugatuck, CT Margaret M. Holliday, 93, died Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Glendale Center. She was the wife of the late Joseph W. Holliday, whom she was married to for 56 years.<br>Mrs. Holliday was born January 29, 1922 in Bristol, RI, a daughter of the late Paul and Louise (delVecchio) Minuto. She graduated from Naugatuck High School, Class of 1940, from Bryant College in Providence, RI and Stone College in New Haven. She was a senior secretary at Uniroyal Chemical from where she retired after 36 years of service. She was a former member of the Uniroyal Chemical Girl’s Club, a member of Bryant University Alumni Association, now located in Smithfield, RI and was also a civil service candidate. Marge enjoyed oil painting, needlework (preferred cross-stitch) and was an avid reader, which she enjoyed tremendously. She was a communicant of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church.<br>She leaves a son, Paul Holliday and his wife Patty of Naugatuck; two sisters, Alice Geremia of Prospect and Mary Perrella of Wolcott; a brother, Nicholas Minuto of Seymour and many nieces and nephews. A brother, Frank P. Minuto and a sister, Jennie Porto are deceased.<br>The family would like to thank Glendale Center, Where the Heart Is and Seasons Hospice for the wonderful care that they provided. <br>Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 21, 1015 at 10:00am at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00am at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 210 Church Street, Naugatuck, CT 06770.
