Prospect - Mrs. Margaret A. (Dorn) Knapp, age 75, of Matthew St., died Friday May 7,2010 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the wife for over 50 years of John J. Knapp Sr. Mrs. Knapp was born in Watebury on February 5,1935 daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Dorn. She was retired from Southbury Training School where she worked as a lead aide for 20 years and was a communicant of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church in Prospect. Besides her husband, Mrs. Knapp is survived by five children: John Knapp of Morgan City, LA, David Knapp of Naugatuck, Brian Knapp of New Hampshire, Joanne Knapp of Prospect, and Kevin Knapp of Bristol, a brother: Robert Dorn of Prospect, six grandchildren: Barbara, John, Michael, Ryan, Brianna, and Cody, six great grandchildren: Andrew, Tyler, Kyleigh, Adam, Shelby and Colin and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister: Veronica Rarick. A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday May 12, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church 4 Union City Rd. Prospect. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 26 Waterbury Rd. Route 69 Prospect on Tuesday May 11,2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Prospect Volunteer Fire Department P.O. Box 7001 Prospect, Ct. 06712.
