Naugatuck - Mrs. Margaret A. "Peggy" (Butler) Mascia, age 66, of 300 City Hill St., died Friday July 30,2010 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of John J. Mascia Sr. Mrs. Mascia was born in Waterbury on June 8,1944 a daughter of the late Llewellyn Butler and the late Dorothy White and was the foster daughter of Edwin and Dora Heuer of Kent. She was retired from Susan-Michaels Hair Salon in Southbury where she worked as a hairstylist for many years. She enjoyed baking, cooking, cleaning, and most of all raising her children and spending time with her family. Besides her husband, Mrs. Mascia is survived by two daughters: Nicole Mascia Green and her husband Martin of Shelton and Tiffany Mascia Bierly of Waterbury, one son: John J. Mascia Jr. of Harwinton, one brother: Richard Butler and his wife Donna of Wolcott, three grandchildren: Jonele Mascia, Lindsey Mascia and Taylor Green and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters: Emma "Mickie" Vadnais and Janice Spagnoletti and two brothers: David Carson and Donald Butler. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 4,2010 at 11 a.m. at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 26 Waterbury Rd. Route 69 Prospect. Private committal services and burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery in Wolcott. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday August 3, 2010 from 5 to 8 p.m.
