<p>Margaret Elizabeth Wiatr</p><p>Loved and Cherished Family</p><p><br></p><p>Woodbury, CT Margaret Elizabeth “Peg” Wiatr, widow of Francis Joseph Wiatr, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 13, 2016.</p><p>Margaret was born in Bay Shore, L. I., NY, daughter of the late James and Margaret (Healy) King. She had been a Woodbury resident for the past 30 years, and was a communicant at St. Teresa of Avila Church. Margaret retired from St. Mary’s Hospital, where she worked as a dietary aid for 20 years. She was an avid reader, loved animals of all kinds and was a diehard NY Yankees and UCONN Huskies fan. She enjoyed dining out and visits with her friends. Margaret loved her children and grandchildren more than anything else and she cherished time spent with family. </p><p>Margaret is survived by her son, Fran Wiatr and his wife, Mary, of Woodbury and Jupiter, FL; her daughter, Margaret “Peggy” DelGatti, of Woodbury; grandchildren Matt, Chris and Margaret “Maggie” Wiatr; step grandchildren Brian Smith, Mark Smith and his wife Charlotte Smith; five step great grandchildren; son-in-law, Pat DelGatti, and her beloved cat, Annabelle. Margaret was predeceased by her brother, John King and her sisters, Maureen Smith and Julia Mauro. </p><p>A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 10:00am at St. Teresa of Avila Church, Main Street South, Woodbury. Burial will be private and there are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.</p>
