Ms. Marilyn J. Mariani Was yoga teacher PROSPECT — Marilyn (Boots) Joyce McCulloch Mariani left her body on May 19, 2011. Marilyn was born in Omaha, Neb. She married and moved to Pompano Beach, Fla., where she lived with her son and daughter. It was there that she met and married Terrence Mariani Sr. of Waterbury. They moved to Woodbury in 1973. Terry Mariani, Marilyn's devoted and loving husband, died in 1986. She was also predeceased by her son, John E. McCulloch, in 1989. Marilyn's passion was practicing and teaching Raja yoga and educating others about the benefits of yoga and nutrition. Her many students admired and loved her. Marilyn leaves behind her daughter, Mary "Dani" McCulloch; her granddaughter, Hailey Boucher; her son-in-law, Stephen Boucher; her elder sister, Virginia Yirak of Omaha, Neb.; and nieces and nephews. Calling hours are 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2011, at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Route 69, Prospect. Funeral services and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends and family are invited to 5 Chandler Drive, Prospect, after calling hours.
