MERIDEN – Marjorie (Havican) Minervini, of 380 Crown Street, Meriden, passed away quietly and gently on June 17, five months after her husband, Robert Minervini. Marge was born in Waterbury, May 15, 1937, daughter of the late George and Genevieve Havican. She graduated from Waterbury Catholic High and Western Connecticut University, teaching briefly in Waterbury. She spent most of her working life writing. She was editor of the American Kennel Club Magazine in N.Y.C., then over 20 years as editor of the Scope Magazine for CL&P employees. Marge and Bob enjoyed traveling and enjoyed visits with friends in the sister cities of Wallingford, Connecticut and Wallingford, England. She is survived by two brothers and their wives, George and Peggy Havican, Alan and Janet Havican; and sister, Linda Kupstis and husband, Richard. She also has several nieces and nephews. Marge was a resident of Curtis Home and the family greatly appreciates the excellent care she was given there. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, June 22, 2015 at 11:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at a later date. Friends and family may visit Monday from 9:30 to 10:30am at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
