Naugatuck-Mrs. Marjory (Melbourne) Brinckerhoff, 88, died Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at River Glen Healthcare Center. Mrs. Brinckerhoff was born on June 19, 1921 in Waterbury to the late Edwin and Elizabeth (Kenny) Melbourne. She attended local schools in Naugatuck and was a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church. Mrs. Brinckerhoff worked for many years in the Melbourne family florist. She was also employed by the United Way in Naugatuck and was past President of the Naugatuck Womens Club. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert Brinckerhoff, a son James and wife Cheryl of Naugatuck, a daughter Jane Witherwax and husband Jeffrey of Woodbury and Stewart, FL, 3 grandchildren, Robert Witherwax and wife Kate of Brooklyn, NY, Sara Brinckerhoff of Las Vegas, NV and Douglass Brinckerhoff of Naugatuck. She had 2 great-grandchildren, Catie and Teddy Witherwax of Brooklyn, NY. Calling hours will be held at Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck on Saturday, February 20, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. Burial in Lakeside Cemetery in New Caanan will be at the convenience of the family.
