Martha Koslosky Naugatuck, Connecticut Obituary

Martha Koslosky

Martha Koslosky “Beloved Aunt” Naugatuck, CT Martha Koslosky, 101, was called home to the Lord on June 17, 2019. Martha was born in Union City at the home of her parents, the late Emil and Julia (Cabel) Koslosky and she was a lifelong Naugatuck resident. A woman of great faith, she was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Naugatuck and was a former employee of the Bristol Company. Martha enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Europe and she also enjoyed working on jigsaw and crossword puzzles. She loved to host Christmas celebrations and loved cooking and making Christmas cookies with her great nieces and nephews. Her greatest joy however was spending time with her large family; who marveled at her memory, drew strength from her faith and were grateful for her generosity. She especially loved visits from the youngest of her family, some of whom were a century younger. The family is grateful to Martha’s caregivers, who took exceptional care of her over the past few years. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Sandra Mickewicz, Richard Reynolds, Roxana Duncan, Noela Couture, Melissa Vanase, Mark Koslosky and Kimberly Shugdinis, 18 great nieces and nephews and 13 great-great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Martha was predeceased by her brothers, Robert O. Koslosky and Herbert A. Koslosky and her sisters, Paula Koslosky and Hertha Koslosky. Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 21, 2019 at 1:00pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 350 Millville Avenue, Naugatuck. Family and friends may call from 12:30 to 1:00pm at the church. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery, Naugatuck. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 350 Millville Avenue, Naugatuck, CT 06770.
