Prospect - Mrs. Mary Theresa (McLaughlin) Harrington, age 80, of 69 Beach drive, entered peacefully into God's care, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday February 3,2011 at Hartford Hospital. She was the widow of Joseph "Fred" Harrington. Mrs. Harrington was born in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada on December 22,1930 daughter of the late Leo and Mary (Murphy) McLaughlin. She was retired from VEAM where sher worked for many years and was a communicant of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church in Prospect. She was a deeply devoted wife and mother who enjoyed most of all spending time with her family and many dear friends. She also enjoyed reading and music. Mrs. Harrington is survived by 4 daughters: Diane Girouard and her husband David of Southington, Joan Grant and her husband David of Danbury, Donna Harrington and her partner Melissa Cook of Newington, and Eileen Auclair and her Husband Gerard of Farmington, 2 sons: Gerard "Gerry" Harrington and his wife Lynn of Danbury and Patrick Harrington and his wife Ingebor of Bristol, 2 brothers: John McLaughlin of St. John New Brunswick, Canada and Arthur McLaughlin of St. John, New Brunswick, Canada, a sister in law: Eileen Morrill of Waterbury, 13 grandchildren: Mary, Kenneth, Kelly, Rachel, Colleen, Mark, Laura, Michael, Jared, Jonathan, Matthew, Melanie and Gerard, several nieces and nephews and many dear friends especially John and Nancy Ksiazek. The funeral will be held on Monday February 7,2011 at 9:30 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 26 Waterbury Rd. Route 69 Prospect to St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church 4 Union City Rd. Prospect for a mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery in Waterbury. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday February 6, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society P.O. Box 1612 Waterbury, Ct. 06721.
