Naugatuck, CT Mary Kimmer, 80, of Naugatuck, the widow of Walter Kimmer, Sr., died peacefully Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Vitas Healthcare at St. Mary’s Hospital. Mary was born March 1, 1935 in Waterbury, CT a daughter of the late Nicola and Angeline (Pagluica) Manna and had lived in Naugatuck for most of her life. Mary retired from Peter Paul, where she had worked for over 30 years and was a member of the Naugatuck Emblem Club. Mary is survived by 3 daughters, Deb LeVasseur and her husband John of Naugatuck, Angela Sarbieski of Naugatuck and Lori Schnerr and her husband Doug of Prospect; 2 sons, Jim Kimmer and Scott Kimmer both of Naugatuck, 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her sons, Wally Kimmer and Kelly Kimmer. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 23, 2015 at 11:00am at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center, 1075 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT 06708.
