Prospect: Mildred (Sickles) Freigant, 94, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2012 at Glendale Center in Naugatuck, CT. She was the widow of Julius Freigant. She resided in NJ for 65 years before moving to CT to be close to her family. Mildred was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Spotswood, NJ for over 30 years and a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Cheshire, CT since 1982. Mrs. Freigant was born on December 2, 1917 in Harrison, NJ a daughter of the late John J. Sickles and Mary (Rowe) Sickles. For Mildred her family was everything, she dedicated her life to both her husband and children. She is survived by two daughters, Ginette Wurst and her husband Karl of Prospect, Barbara Freigant and her husband Peter of Winsted, one sister, Eleanor Rittman of Manasquan, NJ, one brother, Rev. Clarence Sickles and his wife Jean of Hackettstown, NJ. She also leaves six grandchildren, Douglas Wurst, John Wurst and his wife Alison, Karla King and her husband Cassidy, Laura Reading and her husband Matt, Tim Freigant and his wife Colleen and Beth Nemic and her husband Mike, as well as five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mildred was predeceased by her brothers, Raymond Sickles, and Harold Sickles and her sister Lois Knott. Mildred's family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Glendale Center for the compassionate care shown to her during her stay. Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
