Mrs. Olive A. English Enjoyed gardening TORRINGTON — Mrs. Olive A. (Weber) (Jackman) English, age 90, of 215 Forest St., formerly of Naugatuck and Palm Bay, Fla., died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital after a brief illness. She was the widow of William R. Jackman and Roger English. Mrs. English was born in Naugatuck on Aug. 20, 1920, a daughter of the late Ernest and Ethel (Hunter) Weber. She was a former employee of the Uniroyal Inc. Chemical Division in Naugatuck and was a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Naugatuck. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her loving family. Mrs. English is survived by a daughter, Sherrie Neri of Colorado; two sons, William Richard Jackman Jr. of California and Douglas Jackman and his companion, Darlene Knox, of Morris; three stepdaughters, Karen Jedrziewski of Willington, Donna Bottari of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., and Linda Borovicka of Vernon; daughter-in-law, Pat Jackman of Watertown; and her honorary daughter, Linda McCabe of Illinois; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Dona Lemon; a son, Keith D. Jackman; and a sister, Shirley Jackman, and her sons, Gary and David. Special thanks to Wolcott Hall for their loving care of Olive during her time there. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, at 7:30 p.m. at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck. Burial will be in Bushnell National Cemetery in Florida. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, from 5:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
