NAUGATUCK, CT Reed Lee Stachelek, 35, of Naugatuck, died Sunday, September 21, 2014 at his home. Reed was born in Harlan, Kentucky, a son of the late Terry Lee Dotson and Marie Stachelek. Reed lived most of his life in Naugatuck, attended local schools and graduated from Naugatuck High School. Reed is an honorably discharged United States Army Veteran. Reed is survived by his brother, Eric Lee Rousseau of Oakdale, his daughter Elliana Stachelek of Meriden, his grandmother Wilma Patterson of Naugatuck, his stepmother, Marcia Dotson of Naugatuck and several aunts, uncles and cousin. The funeral will be held Friday at 10:30am from the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, to St. Hedwig’s Roman Catholic Church, 32 Golden Hill Street, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Burial with military honors will follow in the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown, CT. Calling hours are Friday from 9:30am to 10:30am at the funeral home. To honor Reed's memory, memorials may be sent to the family in care of the funeral home.
