Robert L. Lampron Pratt & Whitney retiree PROSPECT — Robert L. Lampron, 87, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at Saint Mary's Hospital, Waterbury, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Jean (Behlman) Lampron. Mr. Lampron was born on April 12, 1923, in Watertown, a son of the late Louis J. and Ellen A. (Daley) Lampron. He was retired from Pratt & Whitney after 31 years of service. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran, having served in the Southwest Pacific in World War II, and he was a member of the VFW in Prospect. Besides his wife of Prospect, he is survived by his daughter, Jeannette M. Lampron of Prospect; four sons, Robert L. Lampron Jr. and his wife, Sharon, of Eldersburg, Md., James H. Lampron and his wife, Shaun, of Nieceville, Fla., Philip C. Lampron of Bitola, Macedonia, and Keith P. Lampron and his wife, Laura, of Tewkesbury, N.J.; two sisters, Dorothy Nicholls of Killingworth and Bernice Kamens and her husband, Edward, of Terryville; and his brother, George Lampron. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Neal, Kyle, Nicole, Kevin, Chet and Brooke, as well as five great-grandchildren. The family would like to give special thanks to the Waterbury VNA for the care they gave Robert, especially Carla and Millie. A funeral service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at 10 a.m. at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Route 69, Prospect. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. In loving memory of Robert, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
