Roland Ruby, Sr.
Wolcott - Mr. Rolando A. Ruby Sr, age 85, of 50 Beach Rd., formerly of Milford, died Tuesday February 16,2010 at Wolcott View Manor. Mr. Ruby was born in Waterbury on April 11,1924 a son of the late Frank and Michelina (Errico) Ruby. He attended Waterbury schools and was retired as a machine operator from Textron Inc. He was a resident of Milford for 60 years, was a member of Milford Senior Center for 20 years and was a communicant of St. Gabriel's Church in Milford. He enjoyed singing in the singing group at the Milford Senior Center, the beach, spending time with his family and teaching Italian. Mr. Ruby is survived by two daughters: Anna Kohl of Naugatuck and Gina Frasco and her husband Michael of Hudson, New Hampshire, two sons: Michael Ruby and his wife Patty of Wolcott and Rolando Ruby Jr. of San Francisco, California, two sisters: Gloria Siwanowicz of Naugatuck and Elia Howard of San Francisco, California, a brother: Frank Ruby of Anaheim, California and eight grandchildren: Tanya Loughlin, Michael Ruby, Jessica Ruby, Maria Kohl, Alicia Kohl, Amanda Kohl, Shayna Frasco, and Vincent Frasco. Mr. Ruby was predeceased by a daughter; Maria Loughlin, a son: Francis Ruby, a sister: Mary Grace Ruby and a brother: Giovanni Rubo. The funeral will be held on Saturday February 20, 2010 at 9 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 82 Fairview Ave. Naugatuck to St. Francis of Assisi Church 318 Church St. Naugatuck for a mass at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck.
