Rose Borgnis

Waterbury-Rose L. ( Wargo) Borgnis, 80 formerly of Naugatuck passed away on Monday, September 6, 2010, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was the widow of John Avanti Borgnis. Rose was born on February 12, 1930 in Derby a daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Kobziak) Wargo. Her family moved to Naugatuck when she was young and she was educated at St. Francis School and Naugatuck High School. Rose worked in retail for many years before going to work at Waterbury Hospital in the dietary dept and finally housekeeping until she retired. She loved to sew, travel with friends, and above all else spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Pat, two grandsons, John Bowie and his wife Jennifer of Orlando, FL and Stephen M. Shiff of Waterbury and one great granddaughter, Evelyn Rose Bowie. Besides her husband she was predeceased by two sons, John and Joseph Borgnis. Funeral services and burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours and the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck is in charge of the arrangements.
