Mrs. Rosemary V. Passabet Dvoted wife, mother and grandmother NAUGATUCK — Mrs. Rosemary V. (DePerrior) Passabet, age 90, of Naugatuck, died Saturday, May 19, 2012, at her home after a long illness. She was the wife of George P. Passabet. Mrs. Passabet was born in Mt. Kisco, N.Y., on Aug. 12, 1921, a daughter of the late Murton F. and Virginia (Rowan) DePerrior. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in Naugatuck and was a member of the St. Francis School Parents Club and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Rosemary was a truly loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a true friend to many, always welcoming people with her warm smile and kind words. Besides her husband, Mrs. Passabet is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline Shields and her husband Thomas of Knoxville, Tenn., and Janice Dokla and her husband Carl of Rindge, N.H.; two sons, George M. Passabet of Naugatuck and David Passabet and his wife Ilia of Quinton, Va.; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Horton, and a brother, Kevin DePerrior. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, N.Y. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
