Prospect - Mrs. Sandra (Jannetty) LaPorta, age 70, of 24 Wagon Wheel Drive, died Thursday December 31,2009 at the Paradigm Health Care Center in Waterbury after a long illness. Mrs. LaPorta was born in Waterbury on August 13, 1939 a daughter of Ann ( Nocera ) Jannetty of Wolcott View Manor and the late Louis Jannetty. She was a graduate of Wilby High School and was employed for many years as a real estate agent. She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church in Prospect and was a member of the Board of Realtors. Besides her Mother, Mrs. LaPorta is survived by four daughters: Michele Sheehan of Prospect, Monica LaPorta of Prospect, Marissa Berardis of Watertown and Micole Thornton of Meriden, one sister: Janet Berardo of Chicago, Il., one brother: Dominic Jannetty of Prospect, and eight grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday January 2,2010 at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church 4 Union City Rd. Prospect. Burial in Prospect Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 26 Waterbury Rd. Route 69 Prospect is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the VITAS Innovative Hospice Care 1579 Straits Turnpike Middlebury, Ct. 06762.
