Stephen Bernard Moran 1958 - 2020 Naugatuck, CT Stephen Bernard Moran, 61, died unexpectedly on July 18, 2020. Steve was born on December 18, 1958 in Waterbury, CT son of the late Bernard Moran, Jr. and Anna (Bartosinski) Moran and had been a lifelong Naugatuck resident. Steve graduated from Naugatuck High School in 1976 and retired from the Borough of Naugatuck Park Department. Steve was very proud of his Irish Heritage and always had a big smile on his face. Steve is survived by his sisters, Bernice Sandt of Waterbury and Roseann Hubbell and her husband, James Hubbell of Waterboro, ME; his nephew, Allan Sandt and his wife, Catrice Sandt; his nieces, Kellie Kodz and her husband, Joseph Kodz and Kristen Roland; his great nephews, Liam Roland and Benjamin Roland and their father, Brian Roland and Lucas Sandt. In addition to his parents, Steve was predeceased by his sister, Marcia Moran. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck. Everyone attending is required to wear a facial covering and to adhere to social distance guidelines. There are no calling hours and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. In lieu of flowers and to honor Steve’s memory, donations can be made to the Park Department Fishing Derby, c/o Naugatuck Park & Recreation Department, 607 Rubber Avenue, Naugatuck, CT 06770.
