SUSAN JEAN MARIANO Manchester, CT Susan Jean Mariano, 68, formerly of Naugatuck, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2017. Susan was born on February 7, 1949 in Waterbury, CT a daughter of the late William “Popy” and Viola (Mambrino) Mariano. Susan lived in Naugatuck for many years, graduated from Naugatuck High School in 1967 and was presently working as a project manager at United Healthcare. One of her greatest joys in life was watching her nieces and nephews participate in numerous high school and college sporting events. She was affectionately known as “Aunt Sue”. Susan is survived by her sister, Patricia LaPerriere and her husband Paul of Novato, CA; her brother, Douglas Mariano and his wife Nancy of Naugatuck; her nieces and nephews, Eric Mariano and his wife Cathryn, Lisa Mariano and her husband Mike Wilson, Katharine Cerri and her husband Ryan and Brian Mariano and his wife Ashley; her beloved great nieces and great nephews, Alysa Sigovitch, Tyler Martin, Brianna Mariano, Megan Sigovitch, Eliana Mariano, Blake Mariano, Nolan Wilson and Baby Cerri and Baby Wilson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 10:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck. Those attending are kindly asked to meet at church. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck. Calling hours are Friday, September 29, 2017 from 5-7pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
