Theresa Barile

Prospect - Mrs. Theresa (Papajik) Barile, age 85, died Monday May 23,2011 at Waterbury Hospital after a brief illness. She was the widow of Joseph Y. Barile. Mrs. Barile was born in New York City, N.Y. a daughter of the late John Joseph and Helen (Bernick) Papajik. She was retired from the New York City Finance Department where she worked as a corporate tax reviewer for many years. She was an active member of the Prospect Senior Center, enjoyed singing and was a member of the Songbirds. Mrs. Barile is survived by a daughter: Veronica Barile of Prospect, a son: Joseph P. Barile and his wife Denise of Virginia Beach, VA. a sister: Anna Jackson of Elmhurst, N.Y., a brother: Stephen Papajik of Flushing, N.Y., her loving companion: Katie the Collie and several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister: Helen Vallone and a brother: John Papajik. The funeral will be held on Friday May 27,2011 at 9:30 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 26 Waterbury Rd. Route 69 Prospect to St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church 4 Union City Rd. Prospect for a mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday May 26,2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
