William P. Ashmore Sr. Owned Ashmore's Valley Auto Center NAUGATUCK — William Paul Ashmore Sr. ("Billy"), 68, passed away at Hartford Hospital on Nov. 1, 2011. He was the husband of Marjorie (Mariano) Ashmore. Billy was born on April 29, 1943 in Waterbury, the son of the late Frederick and Ruby (Anderson) Ashmore. He was well known throughout the community as the owner of Ashmore's Valley Auto Center in Naugatuck, which is the oldest operating shop in town. Billy had a passion for fixing anything, especially those things considered unfixable by others. His hard work, dedication and kind heart benefited all those around him and he turned away no one. Besides his wife of 45 years, he is also survived by his two daughters, Sherri (Ashmore) Capaldo and her husband Joseph and Terri (Ashmore) Krasinsky of Southington. He also leaves his son William Ashmore Jr. and Zachary Krasinsky, his only grandchild. Calling hours will be held at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011 from 2 to 5 p.m. A graveside service will follow on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Grove Cemetery on Cross Street in Naugatuck.
