William Henaghan, III

Prospect- Mr. William J. Henaghan III, 51, of 20 Platt Dr., died Friday, April 2, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital after a long illness with his wife of 28 yrs. by his side. He was the husband of Linda (Carney) Henaghan. Mr. Henaghan was born January 21, 1959 in Hartford, a son of William J. and Virginia (Cocolla) Henaghan of Hebron, CT. He was an operations manager for UPS for over 21 years and worked at C&NS wholesale grocery for over two years. He was educated at East Catholic High School where he was All-State and County Conference in football and received a college scholarship for football. He furthered his education at Northern Arizonia University. He enjoyed playing hockey where he was a goalie. He also enjoyed watching his sons play hockey and was proud of his daughters art work. He was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church. Besides his parents of Hebron and his wife of Prospect he is survived by two sons, W illiam J. Henaghan IV and Devin Henaghan both of Prospect . One daughter, Kendyl Henaghan of Prospect. Two brothers, John Henaghan -Dean Hummel of Southington and Kerry Henaghan and his wife Pam of N.H. Five sisters, Kathy Wolf of Hebron, Maureen Artist of Manassas, VA, Kelly Tsamis and her husband George of Colchester, Shannon LaPierre and her husband Brian of Old Saybrook and Jennifer Handfield of Lebanon.His father and mother-in-law John and Mary Carney of East Haartford and sister-in-laws, Christina McIver and her husband John of Colchester and Particia Edmonds and her husband Tom of Bel Air, MD. His good friends, Tom,Rose and Michael Semeraro of Prospect Several nieces and nephews and two grand nieces. The funeral will be held on Wednesday April 7, 2010 at 9:30 A.M. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Rd Rt. 69, Prospect to St. Anthony's Church for a Mass at 10 A.M. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill, CT. Friends amy call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-8 P.M.
