THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF GEORGE CHOUINARD Devoted husband, father and grandfather OAKVILLE – George Anthony Chouinard, age 82 of Oakville, CT died on January, 4, 2021 in Waterbury Hospital after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Betty (Pratt) Chouinard for 56 years. George was born on November 8, 1939 in Waterbury, CT, son of the late Gerard Chouinard and Beatrice (Gouldreault) Chouinard. George worked for the Catholic Cemetery Association for many years. He would often joke that he was the “last person to let you down” and he always had a great sense of humor. When George was not surrounded by family and friends, telling stories and enjoying a cold beer, he could be found at the crap table at Foxwoods Casino. Left to honor George’s love and legacy, besides his wife Betty, is his son, Kevin P. Chouinard and his significant other, Lynne Flanagan of Dover Plains NY, his daughter Cynthia Dayton and her husband, Richard Dayton Jr. of Oakville, CT. George was blessed with one grandchild, Rafael Dayton. He was predeceased by his two brothers Leo Chouinard and Raymond Chouinard and his grandson, Harrison Robert Dayton. Funeral Services for Mr. Chouinard will be held privately at the convenience of his family.
