THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF JOHN LUGARESI “Devoted to his family” WATERTOWN – John J. Lugaresi, age 94, of Watertown, passed away at home, surrounded by his family on Thursday, October 17, 2019. He was the husband of the late Anna Coelho Lugaresi to whom he was wed for 62 wonderful years. John was born on February 12, 1925 in South Bend Indiana to the late Mary Pizzuto. John was a strong, hard working man. A toolmaker by trade, he loved to build stone walls, tending to his vegetable garden, enjoying family dinners and gatherings. He was greatly admired by his family for lovingly caring for his ailing wife for many years. It is said with great pride by his family that John exemplified a “life well lived”. He will be sadly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him. Left to cherish his memory and honor his legacy are his children, Thomas Lugaresi and his wife, Sheila of Middletown, Idaho, James Lugaresi and his wife, Susan of Lancaster, South Carolina, JoAnn Koerber and her husband, Bruce of Oakville, Robert Lugaresi and his wife, Robin Rose of Watertown and John Lugaresi and his wife, Sumlid of Waterford. He is also survived by two of his siblings, his brother, Frank Lugaresi and his wife Amelia and his sister, Adele Lucas, his ten grandchildren; Jason, Michael and his wife, Brittany, Brenda, Thomas, Jacob, Robert and Rashan Lugaresi as well as, Melissa Nihan and her husband, Garrett, Brian Koerber and his wife, Kathleen Brown, and Daniel Koerber, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, John was predeceased by his two brothers; Anthony and Michael Lugaresi as well as his sister, Albina Zimmerman The family would like to thank Hartford Health Care at Home Hospice for their care and support.
