Thomas J. Murray, 64, of Ellington, passed away on August 27, 2017 with his loving family by his side. He was born June 27, 1953 in Fort George G. Meade, Maryland, son of Martin and Barbara (Laviolette) Murray. He enjoyed good times with friends while motorcycle racing, car racing, water skiing, and tinkering with his cars. Thomas is survived by his sisters Theresa A. Siver and her husband Frank, Brenda L. Burkey and her husband Melvin, and Barbara M. Williams and her husband Stephen. He also leaves his good friends Kathy Olender and Joanna Senez, many nieces and nephews, and many, many, many friends. Relatives and friends may join the family on Saturday, September 2, 2017 from 9-11 AM at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville, CT 06066. A gathering of friends will follow, please bring your favorite Tom story. Burial will be private. “Murray in a Hurry” left us too soon.
