Dorothy “Dottie” J. Meyer, 86, of Vernon, beloved wife of the late Russell J. Meyer, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017. She was born September 17, 1931 in Rockville, daughter of the late John T. and Helen S. (Krajewski) Orlowski. She worked 40 years as an administrative assistant for CT Mutual Life Insurance Company. She is survived by her sister Patty Orlowski Perry and her husband Stu of Brimfield, MA, her brother Thomas Orlowski and his wife Bernie of Tolland, her nieces Holly Lawrence and Cindy Lawrence of Holland, MA, her nephew Dean Lawrence of Wales, MA, her niece Amy Orlowski Mack of South Windsor, and her nephew Thomas R. Orlowski and his wife Becky of Vernon, her sister-in-law Irene Kuca of Somers; as well as her 8 great nieces and nephews and her godchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Church, 33 West St., Rockville with burial to follow at St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Vernon.
