Elaine Dimmock

Elaine (Kayan) Dimmock, 85, of East Hartford, beloved wife of the late Arthur Dimmock passed away Monday, July 25, 2016. She was born August 30, 1930 in Rockville, the daughter of the late Steven and Mary Kayan. She was the president of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Post 14 and a member of the American Gold Star Mothers. She retired from Hockanum Industries. She was an avid Red Sox and UConn Women’s Basketball fan. She enjoyed dancing, making crafts and traveling. She is survived by her children, Walter Dimmock and his wife Brenda of Ellington, Patricia Orlowski of Willow, AK, Roy Dimmock and his wife Bonnie of Coventry, Roger Dimmock and his fiancé Enid Sanabria of Glastonbury and Robert Dimmock of East Hartford; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Gary Dimmock; her brother, Steven Kayan; and her sister, Mary Schaefer. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 5-7 PM on Monday, August 1, 2016 at the Small & Pietras Funeral Home, 65 Elm St. Rockville, CT 06066.
