Shea-Florence (Kashady) Shea 92, of Vernon, wife of the late of John "Jack" Shea Sr, passed away Monday March 11, 2013 at Rockville General Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born Oct 17, 1920 in Broad Brook the daughter of the late Frank and Minnie (Batalovitch) Kashady. Florence retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. She was a communicant of St Bernard's Church, Rockville. She is survived by her loving children and thier spouses John Shea Jr and Sharon Schanal of Pomfet, Nancy Shea of Tolland, Dennis and Diane Shea of Ellington, seven grandchildren Sandra Shea-Crabb, John Shea III , Cindy Disco, Michael Liszewski, Jeffrey Liszewski, Kelly Maio, Mark Shea, 12 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, two sisters Margaret Litvinchyk Stafford Springs, Marge Gasperini of Old Saybrook, many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday March 15, 2013 at 10 AM in St Bernards Church, Rockville. Burial will follow in St Bernard's Cemetery. Relatives and friends may join the family on Thursday from 5 to 7 Pm at the Burke-Fortin Funeral home 76 Prospect St, Rockville. The family wishes to give their heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff and aides at Rockville General Hospital for the care and compassion shown for Florence.
