Frederick Manseau Obituary

Frederick Manseau, Sr., 77, of Ellington, beloved husband of Marguerite (Carty) Manseau passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Evergreen Healthcare Center in Stafford Springs. He was born in Manchester, NH, the son of the late Philip and Grace (Sandow) Manseau. Fred was the youngest of eight children. He was raised and educated in Manchester Schools. He later served in Post War Korea as an Air Force Serviceman. Fred was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a devoted Yankee fan for over 60 years, but his greatest joy was attending his grandchildren's various sporting events. Besides his wife of 52 years, he is survived by his children, Frederick Manseau, Jr. and his wife Sandra, Elizabeth Dobransky and Jennifer Bazzano; his grandchildren, Catherine, Dominic and Andrew Manseau, Shane, Brandon and Colby Dobransky, and Daniel Garcia and Maria Bazzano; and his seven great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Emily, Jordan, Jaxson, Eli, Damien and Isabella and many nieces and nephews. There was a special place in Fred's heart for his sister-in-law, Betty and some special family friends. He was predeceased by his three sisters, Hazel, Lois and Ruth; and his four brothers, James, Robert, Philip and Richard. He was also predeceased by his infant daughter, Monica. The family would like to thank the staff of Evergreen Healthcare and the Hospice team that cared for him in his final days. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 4 to 7 PM on TODAY Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St. Rockville, CT 06066. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Friday, December 13, 2013 at St. Bernard's Church, 25 St. Bernard Terrace, Rockville, CT 06066. Burial will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery.
