James Edward Chenette, 93, of Ellington, beloved husband of the late Anne (Gale) Chenette, passed away August 28, 2014. He was born July 2, 1921 in Montpelier, VT to the late Francis and Sarah (McKenna) Chenette. He leaves behind two daughters, Carla Gale Craycraft and her husband, Roger of KY, Yvonne Gale Chenette of Ellington; his grandchildren, James, Cameron, Drew, and Kyle; and one great grandson, Alexander James, his brother, Bernard Chenette and his wife, Barbara of VT; his nieces and nephews, Andrew, John, Philip, Greg, Marti, Anne Marie, Bernie, Michael, David, Bradley, Betty Lou, Donna, Ronald, Jean, and Cathy. Besides his wife and parents, he is predeceased by his daughter Gigi Chenette and his two brothers Joseph and William and his four sisters Erva, Agnes, Gladys, and Louise. He was a World War II Veteran and was employed in the automotive service industry until his retirement. “There wasn’t anything he couldn’t repair.” Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 5-7 pm, Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St, Rockville, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Luke’s Church, Ellington, CT at 10:30 am (meet at church) on Wednesday, September 3, 2014.
