Joanne T. Roy-Christian, 78, of Vernon, formerly of East Hartford, passed away, Sunday, November 11, 2012. She was born October 9, 1934 in Nashua, NH, the daughter of the late Napoleon and Adrienne (Carle) Christian. She was a CT District Sales Manager of the Casual Male, the owner of Joey’s Menswear: Salem, CT and Dun and Bradstreet Receivable Management, East Hartford. She was also a published writer/author. She is survived by her children, David A. Roy and his wife, Donna of Vernon, Christopher P. Roy of West Hartford, Valerie J. Koschmieder and her husband, Ernie of Groton and John S. Roy and his wife, Alma of Vernon; her sister, Carole J. Krueger and her husband, Neil of N.H.; and her grandchildren, Ryan, Jessica and Jennifer Koschmieder, Kimberly Roy, Brandon Roy, Tiffany Roy and Justin Roy. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 5 to 7 on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St. Rockville, CT 06066. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at St. Bernard’s Church, 25 St. Bernard Terrace Rockville, CT 06066.
