Kenneth R. Therrien, 61, of Ellington, beloved husband of Carol (Babineau) Therrien passed away, Wednesday, January 16, 2013. He was born May 13, 1951 in Gardner, MA, the son of the late Rene and Yvonne (Duchesneau) Therrien. He enjoyed antiquing, flea marketing, and family gatherings.. He was a parishioner of St. Luke’s Church in Ellington. He was employed by Hamilton Sundstrand, a division of United Technologies, for the past 39 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons, Brian Therrien of Ellington and David Therrien of L.A., CA; and his daughter, Renee Therrien of Ellington. He was predeceased by his sister Sylvia Therrien. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 5 to 7 PM on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St. Rockville, CT 06066. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at St. Luke’s Church, 141 Maple St. Ellington, CT 06029. Burial will follow at Ellington Center Cemetery, Ellington. The family would like to sincerely thank the hospital staff in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at St. Francis Hospital and Yale New Haven Hospital for supportive and compassionate care given to them.
