Victor T. Stringer, Sr., 83, beloved husband of Ruby (Keeler) Stringer, of Rockville passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017. He was born July 20, 1933 in Plainfield, son of Anna (Dessert) Stringer. Victor and Ruby worked for Disney part time for 20 years, after he retired from Local 230 Construction; he loved camping and traveling. He was a lifetime member of East Windsor Sportsman Club and the Knights of Columbus in East Hartford. Besides his loving wife Ruby, he is survived by his children Daniel Stringer and his wife Lisa, Debbie Lockman, Victor Stringer, Jr., Victoria Oakes and her husband Roger, Clifford Stringer; his step-children Roxanne Nelson and her husband John, Karen Johnson and her husband Larry, Ray Oakes, and his many loving grandchildren. Relatives and friends may join the family on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 6-8 PM at the Small & Pietras Funeral Home, 65 Elm Street, Rockville, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at St. Bernard’s Church, Rockville. Burial will follow at St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Vernon.
