Brian Molgano

Brian Frank Molgano, 31, of East Windsor, CT passed away Saturday, June 20, 2020 from injuries sustained when he was struck by a car. Born November 15, 1988 in Bristol, Connecticut, Brian was the beloved son of Cindy and Frank Molgano. Brian graduated with honors from Lewis S. Mills High School in Burlington, Connecticut where he was a competitive swimmer on his school team. He was an active outdoorsman in Boy Scout Troop 23 where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Brian graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.S in Mechanical Engineering and pursued a career in software development and production planning in the aerospace industry. Brian had an ability to tell stories and to understand the world around him in a unique and often hilarious way. He was an avid mountain biker, skier, disc golfer, hiker and top player of League of Legends. His favorite place and pastime were the annual family vacation to Cape May Beach in NJ where he would spend the day body surfing and building sand castles with his brother and sister. He was an excellent cook and enjoyed making many difficult dishes from a variety of cultures, Pho being one of his favorites. An entrepreneur at heart, Brian started a home baked apple pie business, was an innovative eBay reseller, tinkered with mechanical contraptions of all manner, and wrote programs to automate and optimize business processes. Upon meeting him, people were often struck by his thought-provoking insights and kindness. Brian is survived by his mother and father, Cindy Shay Molgano and Frank A. Molgano III of Burlington, CT; sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer Molgano-Tham and Michael Tham of Brooklyn Heights, NY; brother Jeffrey Molgano of Boston, MA; paternal grandfather, Frank A. Molgano Jr. of Dorset, VT; aunt Pamela Shay Clark of Kalispell, MT; uncle Robert Shay of Barrington, IL; uncle Glen Molgano of Grandville, NY; uncle Gregory Molgano of Reading, VT; and the many other great aunts; great uncles; cousins, and friends who loved him dearly. A private graveside service will be held Saturday, June 27, 2020, at Burlington Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut, 30 Laurel Street, Hartford, CT 06106 or at https://unitedwayinc.org/donate/
