Marie Otero

Marie Rose (Martin) Otero, 42, of East Main Street, Stafford Springs, beloved wife of Jonathan E. Otero, died Thursday, October 6, 2011 due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. She was born August 8, 1969 in Rockville, the daughter of Joan-ann (Christian) Morin and the late George R. Martin, Sr. and had lived in South Windsor prior to moving to Stafford Springs. Marie enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Besides her husband and her mother, she is survived by her three children, Nina, Madison and Jonathan Otero; two brothers, George Martin and Joseph Martin; her step-father, Dave Morin; mother in law Maria Alvarez of Florida; three brothers-in-law, Stephen, Walter and Edsel Otero; her uncles and aunts, Dale and Regina Martin, Carol and Paul Mortenson, Beverly and Richard Lensky, Eva, Freddie and Eva Patricia of Florida and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury, on Tuesday, October 11th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 12th, 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Simsbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Otero Family Fund.
