Richard Solano

Richard Solano, 51, of Stamford passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 8, 2017. He was born in Stamford on November 15, 1965 to Ricardo and Corina Ramirez Solano. Richard was a graduate of Stamford High School, Class of 1983 and also a graduate of the University of New Haven, Class of 1989 where he earned a degree in Marketing. He loved baseball and was a coach for the Federal Little League in Stamford for over 10 years. He loved his job and co-workers at Prestige Brands in Tarrytown, NY, where he was a Director of Network and applications. He was an avid New York Jets and Mets fan. He worked hard and was very giving. His heart was big and full of love for his family here and in Costa Rica. Richard is survived by his loving parents, Ricardo and Corina Ramirez Solano of Stamford, his sister Lucila Massey and her husband Brian of Milford, CT; two uncles Peter Chejin and his wife Vera of Stamford and Henry Chacon and his wife Virginia of Orange, CT; three cousins, Ana Lucia Danielsen and her husband Edward of Stamford, Henry Chacon and his wife Kristin of FL and Katherine Chacon of Milford, CT, as well as a niece Corina Massey and a nephew Brian Massey. Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 PM with prayers at 4:30 PM. Interment will be private.
