Carmen H. (Ruemmely) Rosario, 79, of Tolland went to be with Our Lord on Friday (June 6, 2014). Carmen was born on July 7, 1934 in Caguas, Puerto Rico to the late Carmen Soto and Arturo Ruemmely. She moved to the Bronx, N.Y. at age 15. Carmen loved her family unconditionally. She was the matriarch of the family; she enjoyed cooking, grocery shopping, and taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had the ability to always see the good in everyone and always knew what to say to make your day better. Carmen was the essence of a strong, independent woman and taught her family to never give up no matter what obstacles are in your way. She is survived by a son Roberto Rosario and his wife Rosaida of West Hartford, son Wilfredo Rosario, daughter Glenda Lugo of Tolland and her husband Edwin, and son- in- law Ramon Heredia Sr. of East Hartford. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Kerry Morales, Amor Rosario Bahmanpour, Ramon Heredia Jr. Katrina Mojica, Mariela Rosario-Pabon, Wilfredo Rosario Jr., Kayla Lugo, IvyLee Rosario; 8 great grandchildren, Mariah, Desiray, Ramon III, Sofia, Antonio, Jarik, Izzy and Aurora; 6 siblings; and also by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Rafael Rosario, her daughter Leticia Heredia and 3 siblings. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 5-8 pm on Monday, June 9th at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home in Tolland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Tuesday June 10th at St Matthew Church in Tolland. Burial will follow at South Cemetery in Tolland.
