Edward Ridzon

Edward J. Ridzon, 87 of Tolland, beloved husband of the late Marguerite (Gaskell) Ridzon, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 29th 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 17, 1929 in Tolland, son of the late Andrew and Maria (Balint) Ridzon. A loving father, he leaves behind John and Patricia Ridzon of Ellington, William and JoAnna Ridzon of Vernon, Jeffrey and Davida Ridzon of Tolland, Kimberly and Robert Glass of Montpelier, VT. A devoted grandfather he leaves behind Kyle and Nathan Ridzon, Jenny-Lynn, Edward and Emma Ridzon, Daryl and Anthony Ridzon, Lacey and Jesse Gallison, Matthew, Michael and Tyler Glass. He is survived by a brother Daniel and Patricia Ridzon of Coventry and many nieces, nephews and friends who will greatly miss him. He was predeceased by an infant daughter Jo-Ann Ridzon. Prior to his retirement Ed was founder and owner of DESCO Dental and a US Army Veteran. He was an avid Giants fan. In his retirement Ed enjoyed traveling between his homes in Florida and CT and spending time with his family and friends. Relatives and friends may join the family on Monday, January 2, 2017 at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Road (Rt. 195), Tolland from 4-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at St. Matthew’s Church, Tolland. Burial will follow at South Cemetery, Tolland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew’s Church, 111 Tolland Green, Tolland, CT 06084. The family would like to thank Dr. Mohanakrishin V.
