James V. Alaimo, 70, of Tolland, beloved husband of Faith-Mary (Swierzewski) Alaimo, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016. He was born August 14, 1945 in Springfield, MA, son of John and Constance (Sullivan) Alaimo. Besides his wife Faith-Mary of 46 years, he is survived by his daughter Emily Hope Cusson and her husband Tyler of Tolland, his sisters Elizabeth Alaimo and Catherine Alaimo, SSJ, as well as his grandchildren Thomas and Evan. He was predeceased by his brothers John and Joseph Alaimo. He enjoyed fishing, was a Vietnam Veteran, and was the founder of Nutmeg Sports, LLC. The family would like to thank the Visiting Nurses of Vernon and the Tolland Fire Department for the wonderful care that was given to Jim. All services will be private at the convenience of the family. A celebration of Jim's life will take place later in the spring.
