James J. Caminiti, 45, of Tolland, beloved husband of Shannon (O’Keefe) Caminiti died suddenly Saturday, April 8, 2017 while vacationing with his family. He was born December 28, 1971 in Stamford, CT to Natale and Pauline (Wright) Caminiti. He has touched so many lives with his kind, loving and easy-going way that many are left feeling as if they have lost a brother. Jamie was a devoted husband and father, always putting his family’s needs before his own. He was passionate about football, playing for many years. Through his love of the game, he developed life-long friends and memories that he cherished. He enjoyed coaching softball, baseball and flag football – teaching kids the joys of team sports. He was happiest spending time with his friends and family simply enjoying their company. He was employed by JN Philips, Auto Glass. Besides his wife Shannon, James is survived by his daughter; Danielle, his son; Ryan, his parents; Natale and Pauline (Wright) Caminiti; his brothers Kevin and Christopher; his sisters Natalie Moschetti and Tina Procon Merritt, his grandmother; Ivy Wright, his Aunt; Janet Wright, his In-Laws; William and Yolande O’Keefe, his sister in law; Kimberly O’Keefe, his brother in law and wife; Michael and Laura O’Keefe, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his Uncle, Christopher Wright. Relatives and friends may join the family on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 3 – 6 pm at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Road, Tolland, CT 06084. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 10:30 am at St. Matthew Church, Tolland Green, Tolland (Please meet directly at church). Burial will follow at South Cemetery, Tolland.
