Kathleen Dovhan

Kathleen “Kathy” Dovhan, 75, of Tolland, beloved wife of Walter Dovhan Jr., died Thursday evening, July 20, 2017 at Hartford Hospital. Kathy was born in Amsterdam, NY, daughter of the late James E. and Catherine (Kehoe) Westlake. She grew up in Amsterdam, NY before moving to CT and settling in Tolland. Kathy loved Christmas, especially decorating every room in the house; she collected over 100 dolls. She was employed for the Town of Tolland School System in the Educational Dept., ManPower, and retired from the Town of Manchester as the Lead Coordinator. Besides her loving husband Walt of 52 years, she is survived by her loving children, William Dovhan of Boston, MA, Tammy Morrissey and her husband Jeffrey of Vernon, Todd Dovhan and Talonda of Tolland; five grandchildren, Camen, Shantel, Tyler, Patrick, and Paige; one great grandson Dinero; three sister-in-laws, Bonnie Marotta, Tish Dovhan and her husband John Garry, and Fran Westlake and many nieces, nephews, and her cousin Patty Healdey. She was predeceased by two brothers, Hugh and William Westlake and a sister, Donna Mucha. The family would like to thank the Tolland Ambulance, ECHN at Rockville General Hospital, and the staff at Hartford Hospital. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Road (Rt. 195), Tolland from 5-8 PM. A Memorial Service will follow at 8 PM.
