Patricia A. (Riley) Gugliotti, 77 , of Tolland, passed away peacefully , surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born July 4, 1936 in Long Beach, CA, to the late James and Helen (Larsen) Riley. Patricia was recently predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Louis M. Gugliotti. During her lifetime, Patricia was actively involved in the Tolland and Rockville Communities, volunteering as a Foster parent, mentor to teen mothers, and Meals on Wheels. She devoted her time at Saint Matthew’s where she served as a Eucharist minister and taught religious education. Patricia also served on the Board of the Tolland Public Library. She was an active participant at The Tolland Senior Center and took great pride in creating and maintaining the perennial garden there. She was extremely creative and enjoyed baking, decorative painting, sewing, quilting, and gardening. She also delighted in spending time at the ocean, reading, collecting dolls, and the magic of fairies. Her greatest joy was found in the love of her family. She is survived by her children; Mary Guild and her husband Robert, Ann Dubie and her husband Jerry, Daniel Gugliotti and his wife Denise, Joseph Gugliotti and his wife Jackie, and Carmella Littell and her husband John; her grandchildren; Katie and Megan Guild, Kelly (Guild) Wilson and her husband Brian, Patrick and Michael Dubie, Thomas and Nicole Gugliotti, Kirsten, Kyle and Colton Littell; her brothers: Michael and James Riley, and many dear friends. Friends may join the family during calling hours Tuesday, February 18, 2014 from 3 - 7 pm at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Rd (rt. 195). A celebration of her life will take place at a memorial service, also at Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 11:00 am.
