Paul Doyle

Doyle- Paul A. Doyle, 88 of Tolland, passed away Monday Oct 1, 2012 at Evergreen Health Care. He was born Nov 21, 1923 in Beverly, MA the son of the late James and Martha (McDermott) Doyle. Paul was an US Army Veteran of World War II .He was a communicant of St Matthews Church in Tolland and a member of the Knights of Columbus, He was past President, and vice president of the Holy Name Society in the 1960. He was a volunteer for Tolland Ambulance, he participated in the ELVERTOL walk for hunger which all the donations where for Mary Knoll Missionaries. Paul volunteer at the Cornerstone Soup Kitchen. Paul was an avid runner taking place in the annual Manchester Road Race on Thanksgiving Day. Paul is survived by his children and their spouses Pat and Kaoru Matshita of NY, Mary Ann and Lew Poleate of Vernon, Maureen Thompson of Rockville, four grandchildren Makoto, Emi, Kristen, Dana Louise, one great grandson Miles, three step children and their spouses Rose Mary and Bill Marsh, Leo and Donna Maheux and Beverly and Roy Palmer, seven step grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wives Mary Ann (Ursin) Doyle and Mary (Brown) Doyle. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Held Friday Oct 5, 2012 at 10 AM in St Matthews Church, 25 Tolland Green, Tolland. Burial with military honors will follow in South Cemetery, Tolland. Relatives and friends may join the family on Thursday Oct 4, 2012 from 4 to 7 Pm at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home 375 Merrow Rd (Rt195), Tolland.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Cornerstone Foundation Inc. P.O. Box 2036, 15 Prospect Street, Rockville, CT 06066.
