Richard Olesnevich

Richard L. Olesnevich, 68, died unexpectedly on Thursday, February 19, 2015. Richard was born in Hartford to Peter and Josephine (Kielbowicz) Olesnevich and grew up in West Hartford, later moving to Tolland to raise his family. A US Naval Veteran of the Vietnam War, Richard served with dignity on the U.S.S. Boston. Following his military service Richard had a 30-year career at The Hartford. He was an avid golfer and sportsman. Richard leaves his family with a history of rich traditions. Richard is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary Beth and his four sons David Olesnevich and his wife Gina of Stamford, Brian Olesnevich and his wife Kristen Coonrod of Stafford Springs, Daniel Olesnevich and his wife Morgan of Willington, and Matthew Olesnevich and his wife Jennifer of Tolland, his eight grand children Anna, Wyatt, Ashlyn, Emily, Travis, Julia, Leah, and Trevor. He also leaves his brothers Peter Olesnevich of NH, Michael Olesnevich and his wife Andrea of Tolland, Kenneth Olesnevich and his wife Linda of West Hartford, his sister Julie Hugill and her husband Roy of Vernon, his brothers-in-law Thomas Covill and his wife Teresa of Waterford and James Covill and his wife Sheryll-Ann of Manchester and many nieces and nephews.
