Robert Newman

Robert G. Newman, Jr., 76, of Tolland passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 24, 1941 in Norwalk, CT to the late Christine V. (Kane) and Robert G. Newman. Robert was in the Army and served in Korea and Vietnam. He retired as an Administrator from Aetna after 26 years. He loved all aspects of photography and was an avid New England Patriots Fan. He is survived by his wife, Pamela C. Newman, his son, Robert G. Newman III, daughter Stacey (Newman) Carlisle, her husband Jason, three grandchildren, Duncan, Patrick and Lexi; and his brother, Michael Newman and his wife Diane. Relatives and friends may join the family on Thursday, February 16, 2016 between 9am-11am with a funeral home service at 11am at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Road, Tolland. Burial will follow at South Cemetery in Tolland. A reception will follow at the family home in Tolland. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made the the American Cancer Society.
