Robert Pelletier, 82, of Storrs, CT, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Fort Kent, ME, he has resided in Connecticut since 1967. Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Theresa (Charette) Pelletier, their 8 children; Alan, Arlene, Lolita, Gary, Lucia, Corrina, Cynthia and Christine, their spouses, 18 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren, a brother, Gilman Pelletier, and 2 sisters, Beatrice Bernier and Anita Mumford. He was predeceased by his parents, Rene and Mabel (Cyr) Pelletier, 2 sisters Edwina Paradis and Reona Dubois, one son-in-law and one grandchild. Robert was a member of Connecticut's Bristol Old Tyme Fiddlers Club, the Knights of Columbus, and St. Mary's Spiritual Renewal. A tinkerer, inventor, welder, and a gifted fiddler, his creativity and love of music inspired all who knew him. Relatives and friends may join the family on Sunday, July 14, 2013 from 4-7 pm at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Road (Rt 195), Tolland, CT 06084. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 15, 2013 at 11 am at St. Mary's Church, Coventry. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Coventry.
