The Casey Family is honored to be caring for and assisting the family of Dew J. Rosado U.S. Army Veteran & Retired Waterbury Police Officer WATERBURY – Dew J. Rosado, age 63, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love and comfort of his family on April 17, 2021. He was the loving husband of Gladys (Torres) Rosado. Dew was born on June 23rd 1957 in Penuelas Puerto Rico, the son of Catalina Rosado of Puerto Rico and the late Benigno Rosado. Dew was raised and educated in Puerto Rico and proudly served his country with the U.S. Army from 1981 until being honorably discharged in August of 1986. After his service with the Army, Dew began working as a police officer for the Waterbury Police Department until his retirement in 2005. Dew enjoyed reading, playing scratch ticket lottery games and looked forward to his meet ups with his friends at the local bodega where he would enjoy their company and a cold beverage. Dew will be remembered for his quick wit and jokester like personality. He was always happiest while spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Left to honor Dew’s legacy and treasure his memories, besides his mother and wife of 39 years, are his three children; Dew J. Rosado, Natalie Rosado and Kaithlynn Rosado all of Waterbury. He also leaves 11 grandchildren and many extended family members including his brother, sisters, nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral services for Mr. Rosado will be held on Thursday April 22, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Todos Los Santos Parish, St Anne’s Church. Those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial with full military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with Dew’s family on Wednesday evening from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Service 1987 East Main Street, Waterbury, CT. We are all still very concerned about everyone’s health and safety so all federal and state guidelines relative to COVID #19 will be observed but you can be assured of a safe, clean and comforting environment to express your support to the Rosado family.
